DIVING IN KOMODO NATIONAL PARK
DIVING WITH TATAWA LIVEABOARD IN KOMODO
Tatawa Liveaboard trips are typically 5 days & 4 nights. This is a good number of days to give it plenty of time to experience over 25 different sites within the national park. The schedule is always flexible. Shorter or longer trips are also possibke.
We suggest that you arrive in Labuan Bajo the day before departe if possible. We can arrange pick up for an additional charge of 100.000IDR per car (4 guests).
The check in can be done the day before or be in the office at 8am on the departure day.
Itinerary sample
Day 1: Meet up in the office at 8am morning. Shortly after you will be taken to Tatawa Liveaboard. After getting familiare with the boat and meet with yoru guides as well as the rest of the crew there will be a safety briefing and check into our cabins.
We first do a check dive at Siaba Kecil to make sure you are comfortable with our equipment and have the right amount of weights.
Second dive of the day at Mawan. Here we look for Manta rays!
Third dive of the first day is a sunset/night dive at Siaba Besar.
Dinner is served.
Day 2:
Early morning dive at Batu Bolong, “an underwater aquarium”. Here you can see beautiful coral and spot a white tip reef shark, giant trevally, jack fish, banded sea snake, and lots of puffer and box fish.
For the 2nd dive of the day we go to Siaba Keci: turtles, lots of sharks, trevally, and much more!
3rd dive of the day at Tatawa Kecil: beautiful coral and fishies.
Land tour with a 15 min hike to see the stunning views of the Komodo National Park from above.
Day 3:
Another early morning dive at the Cauldron. Spot black and white tipped sharks, scorpionfish, giant sweetlips, trevally, moray eel, chevron barracuda, snapper, and of course plenty of hawksbill turtles.
Second dive for the day and last dive at Tatawa Besar: white and black tip sharks, hawksbill turtles, crocodile fish, scorpion fish, cuttlefish and more!
30 min Dragon safari walk around the main area of the Komodo or Rinca island. You will see plenty of Komodos.
This is a lifetime opportunity and one that was worth every $!
